Bitcoin in Lithuania, in person

Find places accepting Bitcoin in Lithuania and meet the people using it. Lithuania BTC brings a merchant map, community meetups, walks and conferences together in one place.

The map

The merchant map pulls from BTC Map, which is built on OpenStreetMap data contributed by the community. Coverage is not exhaustive, and listings can go out of date as businesses close, move or change what they accept.

If you notice a place that is missing, closed or listed incorrectly, you can add or correct it directly on BTC Map. Updates there flow into future refreshes of this site.

Meetups and walks

Bitcoin Lithuania meetups and Bitcoin Walk Vilnius are informal gatherings where people talk, walk and sometimes try paying in Bitcoin together. Past events include film screenings and discussions at venues like Zolak Micro Art Residence.

Conferences such as PROOF have also taken place in Vilnius, with talks and workshops on privacy, decentralized tools and financial sovereignty. The event list is curated by hand, so it reflects what has been verified rather than every event happening in Lithuania.

The project

The aim is to make the local Bitcoin community easier to find, whether you live in Lithuania or are visiting. Discover a place to spend Bitcoin, meet others at an event and explore what people are building here.

The site's code is open source under the MIT license, so other communities are free to fork it for their own country or region. That license covers the code only: photos and branding shown here are not automatically included and must be sourced separately.

Follow the initiative

Meetups and Bitcoin Walk Vilnius are separate initiatives with their own community channels. Their links are gathered in the Community section, where you can find updates and join the conversation.
